Then missed a call from them and then finally got hold of them to be told they would be about 35 minutes late due to change over of drivers and their shifts and we would be quicker getting taxis! They said to claim the prepaid fare back once home. Tried contacting Hoppa on way to meeting point to no avail. By time we disembarked plane we were a total of 45 mins late. Slight delay actually taking off from runway. Eventually one needs to go to the refund website, which does not work either.ĭO NOT USE! First impression very good, emails sent and initial good communication, so fills you with confidence that they provide a good service! How wrong!!

The email received after two working days informs you that they regret what happened and that they refund you in Hoppa credits, whilst I paid an additional EUR 21.60 to get a full refund. A complaint can only be lodged via the website, there are no contact details. I tried to call the UK number many times to lodge a complaint, unfortunately one does not get further than listening to the waiting tape. This resulted in us negotiating with a Taxi driver next to the road to take us to the hotel. The agent responding the emergency number informed us that our booking was cancelled by Hoppa and that they could not do anything about it, also not sending a new driver. Unfortunately no-one was there to pick us up. A day later I received my voucher with the confirmation, pickup time etc. Once clicked you receive an email that the booking was successfully amended, but nothing changed. The link provided in the email takes you to a webpage which only lets you confirm the amendment without showing any information or what the amendment is about. One week before departure I received an email that an amendment was required. I would think twice about using this (service?).One doesn't notice that it is a scam at first! Booking process is very smooth. His frustration too at not being able to get through on the Hoppa phone number. When my friend (who waited with me on my departure) came home two weeks later he had a very similar experience. BUT to be waiting at the place of departure at the time you are told to be there and then delayed with no chance of being able to phone up to find out where your transport is, is a worry. As it happens we got to the airport in good time and there was little queue for passport and security so I arrived at the gate with an hour to spare. So for me and hour and a quarter late and for them 5 mins early. I asked them what time they expected the mini bus and they said it had arrived 5 mins early. We then made another 2 pick ups in nearby resorts, the last of which eas a family that we picked up. I speak Spanish but no apology from the driver for being late and in fact he was most offhand. Just as I was about to do this a driver of a mini bus turned up.
I was debating getting a taxi (at great expense) and after another 15 minutes decided to go into the hotel to book the taxi. Another 20 mins passed and still no transport. There is a number to phone in case of a problem- unfortunately I phoned this number 23 times and it was always engaged. On my return however I arrived on time at the hotel of departure at the time Hoppa emailed me to be there.

This was honoured and after 45 mins I was on my way. Transfers from Alicante to Benidorm take around 45 minutes, offering an easy and direct. You can be taking a stroll along the beach or enjoying the thrill of parasailing over the Mediterranean within an hour of leaving Alicante Airport. I had been told at the desk that the wait would be 40 mins before I could go. This is the perfect location for those seeking a fun trip away from it all. For my transfer on arrival I was told at the desk that they were waiting for some other people who were going to the same or nearby resort as me. This should substantially reduce the time. There are two types 1) a price for a transfer that could stop many times on the way to your resort or another transfer at a substantially higher price but with a promise that there will be no more than 4 pickups. I did find it however and I had previously pre booked the transfers. On arrival at Palma Airport it was not easy to find the desk that Hoppa operate from because they use another companies desk. I recently used them to go and return from Sa Coma on Majorca's East coast. Hoppa operate airport transfers to and from Palma airport and most of the resorts around the island.
